Best sports bets 4/29/24

I want to start this article by stating that I am no expert, but I try to do some research into picks that have a good chance of winning. Please choose the bets with your best knowledge. I am using a system called the stoplight system. The core of this idea is that green means a safer bet from data and reports should have a safer chance of winning. Yellow means there is risk but it has a decent success chance based on past results. Lastly, red means it could be fun, but bear with caution. Red does not mean do not do it, it just means be careful putting $100 down on it. The goal of this system is to put more information behind the reasoning. 1st inning Under 0.5 runs - Chicago White Sox Vs. Minnesota Twins - (Green): (-148)

I like this bet for a few reasons. The first was the pitching matchup between Garrett Crochet versus Joe Ryan. They last faced each other on April 24th. During this game, neither team scored during the first inning and both pitchers are pretty strong in the first inning. Crochet is 2/3 with not allowing a run in the first inning. Ryan is shakier, but facing the White Sox makes me feel better. According to the stats of MLB teams that score a run in the first inning, the White Sox rank 21st and the Twins rank 24th. The even better news is the White Sox rarely score in the 1st inning at home and the Twins are lower scoring on the road in the 1st. This is a strong bet.

Nikola Jokic Over 13.5 Rebounds - Lakers Vs. Nuggets - (Green): (-130)

This is another strong straight bet. Jokic has hit this line in 8 out of his last 15 games. During the playoffs, he has hit this line 3 out of the 4 games. The Nuggets are up 3-1 in the series and they want to finish this series out. For that to happen, Jokic will have to be on his game.

Parlay: Nikola Jokic O 12+ Rebounds, Anthony Davis O 22.5 Points, LeBron James O 21.5 Points, Anthony Davis O 10.5 Rebounds - (Yellow): (+185)

It's playoff basketball and we are looking at the top players to score. We already touched on Jokic with his ability to rebound. He is 10 out of 15 with 12+ rebounds. He has also hit this in every playoff game. Anthony Davis has been over 22.5 points in 11/15 games and has hit this in every playoff game. Davis has also been over 10.5 Rebounds in 14 of his last 15 games. Lastly, it comes down to Lebron James who has been over 21.5 points in 14 of his last 15 games. He has also hit his over 67 out of 72 times this season. If you want a little more risk to this bet you can do Lebron over 23.5 points and Davis over 11.5 Rebounds.
